Below, you will find an overview of our local positions currently open in Germany. These are open to all applicants legally entitled to work in Germany.

For local positions, our recruitment process is generally carried out in two to three steps including a test (optional), an interview and a reference check. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in a test and/or an interview
Tests are carried out remotely within a specific timeframe (if applicable).
Interviews are usually conducted online and are meant to evaluate a candidate's suitability for the applied position they applied for. Interviews can be conducted in English and/or German, depending on the position's language requirements. If another language is needed for the position, this can also be tested during the interview. Our interviews generally last 45 to 60 minutes, and are conducted by three panel members, the Hiring Manager, a member of the HR team, and another panel member (team mate, thematic specialist, etc.)
A Reference Check is conducted for candidates recommended for a position (through to next stage of recruitment process). At this stage, a Hiring Manager can recommend more than one candidate for a single position. For the reference check, recommended candidates must provide the name of two references who will be contacted (in writing) by the HR team
After these steps, the Hiring Manager establishes an order of preference amongst the recommended candidates. In parallel, conducts a security check. The first-recommended candidate will receive a job offer. Other recommended candidates will only be considered in case candidates ranking higher in the order of priority decline the job offer.
Applications (incl. CV, cover letter and supporting documentation) should ideally be submitted in English. Documents in German are also accepted.
IOM does not charge a fee at any stage of its recruitment process (application, interview, processing, training or other fee). IOM does not request any information related to bank accounts.
